Yotam Gingold, assistant professor in the Volgenau School of Engineering Department of Computer Science received a National Science Foundation (NSF) CAREER Award for his project titled "Direct Manipulation of Numerical Optimization for Structured Geometry Creation."
Eleven Computer Science Department faculty members have received a NSF CAREER awards. The award is the foundation's most prestigious award and supports junior faculty who exemplify the role of teacher-scholars through outstanding research, excellent education and the integration of education and research.
"Yotam's work has appeared in the leading computer graphics conferences and journals," said Computer Science Department Chair, Sanjeev Setia. "He is not only a strong researcher but also a great teacher and colleague. The CAREER Award is simply the icing on the cake."
