Volgenau School alumnus Brian Chromey was one of sixteen exceptional alumni, one outstanding faculty member and one talented student who were honored on April 23 during the Celebration of Distinction, the longest-standing tradition of the Alumni Association and the only university-wide alumni recognition ceremony.
Surrounded by family, friends, fellow alumni, and members of the Mason community, the honorees were recognized for their accomplishments.
The Alumni Association Award recipients included:
Alumnus of the Year: Dayton Moore, BSEd, Physical Education '91, MSEd '93
Alumni Service Award: Michael Gallagher, MBA '94
Faculty Member of the Year:William Miller, MFA Creative Writing '97
Senior of the Year: Raquel Friedmann, Environmental and Sustainability Studies major
The awards were presented by Alumni Association president Christopher Preston, BS Management '96, and president-elect Brian Jones, MA International Commerce and Policy '06. Rick Davis, Associate Dean in the College of Visual and Performing Arts, served as the emcee.
