The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) awarded Art Pyster, associate dean for research and professor in the Department of Systems Engineering and Operations Research, the INCOSE Service Award in recognition of his dedicated services as Director of Academic Matters from 2010 to 2016. At the same session, Ariela Sofer, department chair of SEOR, was installed as the new INCOSE academic director, an elected INCOSE board position.
INCOSE is a not-for-profit membership organization founded to develop and disseminate the interdisciplinary principles and practices that enable the realization of successful systems. The organization seeks to address complex societal and technical challenges by enabling, promoting, and advancing systems engineering and systems approaches.
