Jill Nelson, associate professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is the winner of the 2017 John Toups Medal for Excellence in Teaching. The medal will be presented at George Mason University Commencement on May 20, 2017.
“Our faculty bring the highest levels of creativity, care, and rigor to Mason’s classrooms, laboratories, studios, and field activities. In doing so, they help students fulfill their potential as well-rounded scholars and engaged citizens who are prepared to act and make a difference,” said Ángel Cabrera, president of George Mason University.
The Toups Medal is presented to a faculty member whose teaching exemplifies our commitment to ongoing innovation and excellence in delivering a transformative learning experience to our students.
